Spring 2024 Newsletter

Dear, Village South Neighbors,

We hope this Spring newsletter, and reminders, find you all well.

Please let the Village South Board of Directors know if there is anything you need or would like to discuss with us.

Please feel free to attend any of our board meetings. We welcome your participation, and interest in our neighborhood.

Each property owner is responsible for maintaining his/her lot, so it does not detract from enhancing the value of our neighborhood.

Minimum maintenance including regular mowing, edging, trimming, removal of overgrowth, and dead vegetation should be sustained every week in the growing season and every other week in the off season.

Landscaping

There are currently many landscaping infractions clearly noticeable in our neighborhood.

Please observe your landscape, and physical structures on your property to look for any of the following, and please correct the items:

  • Mailboxes need pressure washing and/or painting.

  • Houses, house trim, needs pressure washing and/or painting.

  • Sidewalks and driveways need pressure washing.

  • Sidewalks should be cleaned with a pressure washer if they are covered in mildew and may be slippery.

  • Also, remove leaves, weeds, and debris from sidewalks.

  • Dead limbs on trees and bushes that need to be trimmed.

  • Dead limbs on palm trees that need to be trimmed.

  • Dead grass that needs care and attention.

  • Dead trees in your front yard need to be removed for everyone’s safety

  • Limit yard ornamentation.

Architectural

Architectural committee must first approval any modifications for any changes in the visual of your house from the street:

  • New roofs

  • External house painting / New garage doors

  • New fencing

  • Etc.

Reminders:

  • In keeping the neighborhood landscape in harmony, please remove all unsightly debris, rubbish, trash, in the front, and side yards of your house that are visible from the street. This should not be detectable.

  • Garbage cans should not be stored in front yards, side yards, or driveways where they are visible from the street.

  • Garbage cans should also only be put out for pick up 24 hours prior and removed no later than 24 hours post pick up.

  • Seasonal Holiday Decorations may be displayed no earlier than 30 days prior to and removed no later than 14 days after the holiday.

  • Please do not park cars on the easement grass.

  • Please pick up after your pets. Also, pass this along to your spouses and children. Pet waste being ignored by our neighbors has been witnessed. See Hillsborough County Animal Ordinance 6-32.

Our Village South of Carrollwood community is a deed restricted community and the by-laws must be followed. If you do not have a copy of the Village South of Carrollwood community by-laws, please utilize the contact form of this website or get in touch with one of the Village South board members.

Our Village South of Carrollwood community is a ‘No Soliciting’ community. If you see unknown solicitors in the neighborhood, please remind them of this and kindly ask them to leave. Solicitation means: “to importune (pester), or endeavor to persuade or obtain by asking”.
